First Presbyterian Church strongly invites and encourages its youth to continue their faith journey growth by taking part in a number of educational and fellowship activities throughout the year.
Christian Education
Sunday Mornings, 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
Middle school students (grades 6th through 8th) meet in the youth room each week for Bible study and fellowship. This year's curriculum, "The Seven Checkpoints: 7 Principles Every Teenager Needs to Know", is a reflective journal that guides and assists teenagers in their faith journey. This study is accompanied by two books: "Every Young Man, God's Man" and "Every Young Woman's Battle".
High School Students are invited to join the Middle School study group or to assist in the Pre-K through 5th grade classes.
10:15 to 10:45 a.m. - Children's/Youth Music
Middle school students are invited to participate in our children's music program from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. in the Children's Chapel (2nd floor of education wing). New this year is a three-octave set of “Choirchimes”, rung like handbells with each child reading music and ringing their chime for a particular note(s). Choral music accompanied by xylophones may also be included this year.
