Children's Music

Children's music is an important and vital part of the children's education and music program at First Presbyterian Church. The children experience music, worship, and praise through singing, movement and instruments including children's handbells, xylophones/metallophones, and various rhythm instruments. Two separate groups exist according to age and reading ability: 3 years through 1st grade (pre-readers) and 2nd through 5th graders. Both groups meet during the Sunday School hour on Sunday mornings: the 3 year olds through 1st graders from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m., and the 2nd through 5th graders from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.

As part of the music program, the children participate in worship at the 11:00 a.m. service on September 30, October 28, November 18 and December 16.
